This NEW Tour is part of the 2012 Program for Small Size Groups and operates with a maximum of 20 passengers. Spend 11 fabulous days in exotic and ancient Turkey where East and West collide with centuries of influence from the Byzantine and Ottoman eras and Christian and Islamic iconography. Visit the famous Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and Saint Sophia and soak up the rich atmosphere of the Grand Bazaar and the Silk Road Caravanserai. The tour includes a trip across the Dardanelles to Gallipoli.

Tour Highlights
Day 1: ISTANBUL
Transfer to your hotel with the rest of your day at your leisure.
Day 2: ISTANBUL
After breakfast at the hotel, a guided tour to Topkapi Palace, St. Sophia, Blue Mosque Hippodrome and Grand Bazaar. Overnight Istanbul.
Day 3: CANAKKALE
Today’s tour begins in the morning – arrive at Gallipoli and visit Anzac Cove, Nek, Conk Bair, Lone Pine and and the 57th Regiment War Memorial and Museum. Overnight Canakkale.
Day 4: TROY – PERGAMUM – KUSADASI
Destination Kusadasi – first stop, the ancient city of Troy, site of the legendary Trojan War then across the mountains to Pergamum and explore the famed Acropolis before arriving at Kusadasi for an overnight stay.
Day 5: EPHESUS – SIRINCE – KUSADASI
After Breakfast a short drive to visit Ephesus, followed by a stop at the beautiful village of Sirince where you be able to experience an array of shopping delights and taste delicious local wines. Overnight Kusadasi.
Day 6: HIERAPOLIS – PAMUKKALE
Through cotton farms on your way to Pamukkale with plenty of time to enjoy the beauty and visit ancient Hierapolis. Overnight Denizli.
Day 7: KONYA – CAPPADOCIA
Early departure for Konya with a tour of the monastery of the Mervlana Whirling Dervishes. An afternoon drive to Cappadocia via Seljuk- a fine example of an ancient Silk Road Caravanserai. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia.
Day 8: CAPPADOCIA
A full day excursion in Cappadocia including visits to the Kaymakli Underground City, Open Air Museum in Goreme and natural fortress in Uchisar. An optional and fun Turkish folklore evening is available tonight. Dinner and Overnight in Cappadocia.
Day 9: CAPPADOCIA – ANKARA – SAFRANBOLU
An optional Balloon tour is on offer for the early risers then a morning departure for Safranbolu via Ankara and a visit to the Ataturk Mauseleum. From Ankara, drive to Safranbolu, staying overnight at an old Ottoman mansion.
Day 10: SAFRANBOLU – ISTANBUL
A morning to enjoy the old town of Safronblu before heading back to Istanbul. Overnight Istanbul.
Day 11: ISTANBUL
The tour concludes after breakfast in your hotel – transfer to Airport is included.
